We’re a mixed-voice choir based in Epsom and have been going since February 2012. There are currently around 30 singers of all ages and abilities and new members are always welcome – there’s no need to audition. We sing on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 09.30 mass at St Joseph’s R.C Church in Epsom, Surrey and rehearse most Sundays at 10.40 straight after the service. Our aim is to promote and encourage singing during worship and repertoire includes a range of popular hymns as well as more challenging SATB arrangements.
Outside of mass times we plan to sing at choir festivals, singing days, local events and charity fundraising days where we’ll perform a different repertoire including pop classics, medleys from the musicals and modern, choral pieces. We rehearse separately, weekly or fortnightly, for our non-liturgical performances and try to make a social evening of it with drinks and nibbles a must!
